Last week’s Honiton ladies’ competition was a fun event played to raise money for Children in Need, writes Ann Desmoulins.

A foggy morning delayed the start for the 12 teams that had entered to play a three-ball betterball competition.

However, when the fog lifted it turned out to be a glorious sunny day and the warm conditions led to some ladies playing in golf shirts and others overheating in their winter gear!

One thing that was clear was that a happy time was had by all and the winners were Ann Trayling, Shiela Palmer and Chris Luttman with 78 points.

A collection made for the Children in Need appeal raised a magnificent £200.
