The Honiton ladies section played a Christmas competition that this year took the form of a three ball-better-ball, with two scores to count, writes Andy Wagner.

Teams were drawn from across all three divisions.

In first place were a team consisting of Henrietta Bradshaw, Chris Luttman and Pam Manning with 74 points.

The minor places were determined by countback.

Sue Ritchie, Ann Desmoulins and Jan Portlock edged out Elizabeth Ward, Gill Johnson and Catherine Hunt for second place after both teams scored 73 points.

Prizes were presented at the ladies Christmas lunch the following day.
