Honiton ladies saw their 18-hole greensomes competition somewhat blighted by the uncertain weather, so a number of teams pulled out, writes Ann Desmoulins.
As partners were drawn, some fun was had by the 11 pairs who played.
The winners were Olwen Eaton and Cathy Pawley with a very creditable 35 points. Countback was used to determine the minor places with Tricia Swindell and Lesley Farley edging out Cathy Uttley and Stephani Barnes after both pairings recorded a score of 30 points.
