The main event this week was the prestigious Jubilee Cup - not for the faint-hearted as it is played over 36 holes, hence the small number of entries, writes Ann Desmoulins.
The ultimate winner, and fresh back from Australia, was Elizabeth Wood with the runner-up being Janet Hughes.
Alongside this was a normal Stableford for those not in the cup competition and also the High Six Trophy for those with 31to 36 handicaps.
With lovely weather all the players enjoyed the day, even the very tricky greens!
The High Six Trophy was won by Sheila Palmer and the runner-up was Danusia White.
The Stableford competition results were as follows - in Silver Division the winner was Georgie Hope-Edwards (one of our country members) with 32 points.
Second on countback was Sue Ritchie on 31 and third was Jackie Seager.
The Bronze One winner was Brenda Hyde with 34 points (and a handicap cut). Second was Jane Watts on 33 and third was Lesley Oxenham on 30.
Bronze Two was won by Jan Portlock with 33 points with Sheila Palmer, with 31, taking second.
The winner of the nine-hole competition was Julie Eyles with 16 points.
The Coppers group also met to play a three-ball hare and hounds competition on what was a lovely Monday afternoon.
The winners were Neil Price, Diane Rider and Sue Langdon.
