Honiton ladies land Foxlands Trophy triumph over North devon opposition

Honiton ladies’ played the penultimate round of the Foxlands Trophy last week against the Kingsley, North Devon Club, writes Tony Broughton.

The two away teams of Berry Maynard, Carole Pidgeon, Rita Barwick and Shirley Hiscocks with Rosemary Hirons, Ann Hillyear, Pearl Hackwood and Carole Binmore both won.

In the home element of the match Lynda Dommett, Dulcie Broughton, Joan Heard and Sue Evans won, but Sally Spreadbury, Anne Newman, Carol Smith and Julie Grant lost.

This gave Honiton an 80-73 victory and, as a result they banked eight out of the ten points available.
