There was a big mid-October Saturday at Honiton when the four sections of the club competed for three separate trophies in one day, writes Liz Rogers.

It was a great fun day with good team spirit and comradery - great cheers of joy going up as it was being announced that the ladies had prevailed again, winning two of the trophies.

Firstly, the Honiton trophy, a team event between the men, ladies’, seniors and juniors was won by the men.

However, next up was the Hansford trophy, a match play format between the men and ladies, and this was won by the latter.

The last trophy is the Otter trophy, a team event between the ladies and the seniors and this was also claimed by the ladies, leaving the seniors empty handed!
