Archant

The format for the latest Honiton ladies meeting was two-ball better ball with both scores counting on the sixth, 12th and 18th, writes Liz Rogers.

On another hot, sunny day, Anne Davies and Liz Rogers came in first with a score of 48 points. The next three places were tied on 46 points and had to be settled on countback. This left Diana Gee and Linda Northover taking second, Jane Watts and Janet Hughes third and Olwen Eaton and Sharon Dacre having to settle for fourth place.

In the 10-hole competition, Daphne Ayland and Joy Kerr came in first with 19 points.
