There were 16 teams of three involved in the ladies event that saw the players intent on settling a score with the dreaded ‘yellow ball’, writes Andy Wagner.
Teams, made up of a high, middle and low handicap player, passed that yellow ball like a hot potato from one to another and the scores mounted to give a convincing win for the very strong team of Henrietta Bradshaw, Olwen Eaton and Carol Cole with 113 stableford points.
In second place were Sue Ritchie, Lesley Oxenham and Monica Lacey with 101 points and third were Jane Watts, Chris Luttman and Judith Newbery with 97 points.
In fourth place were Gill Johnson, Elizabeth Davies and Margaret Jory with 95 points.
Four of the teams failed to return their yellow ball.
