The Honiton ladies played a stableford foursomes competition, writes Liz Rogers.

Despite heavy rain being forecast, the ladies had a dry round although the course was playing long and this was reflected in the scores!

However, this did not dampen spirits as the rain only started when the ladies were back at the 19th hole!

Thirty-one points was the score for the top four pairs and this brought countback into play.

Ultimately the winners were Elizabeth Ward and Sharon Dacre.

Second place was taken by Sheila Palmer and Cherry Liell.

Third place went to the duo of Ann Davies and Diana Gee who also qualified to represent the club in the Daily Mail foursomes.

In fourth place were Annusara Trayling and Cathy Uttley who are also runners-up to represent the club in the Daily Mail foursomes.
