Honiton's Jaden Haine won a SW title at the Muay Thai and kick boxing event at the Honiton British Legion Club

A kick and Thai-boxing championships at the Royal British Legion club, raised £170 for Honiton RFC under-10s to buy a gazebo and £170 for kick4cancer.

There were 14 contests in all. Sit Simingdam, Honiton fielded nine boxers and out of those, five were victorious. Ricky Kellow won the 63-65kg South West area title for Thai Boxing against Alex Rush of Bristol, Rama Camp. Matt Wales won the 65kg Low-kick South West area title against Connor Crutchley from Full Circle, Taunton.

In a surprise upset, Jaden Haine stopped James Evans from Liverpool in the 3rd round to become the English Super-Heavyweight Low-kick Goldenbelt Champion.

If you want to learn muay thai there are classes in Honiton and Exeter, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Sit Simingdam, Honiton is the most successful muay thai club in Devon with three champions.
