=Twenty members decided to brave the misty weather and play a rye foursomes over 10 holes, writes Liz Rogers.

The lady captain Owen Eaton with her playing partner John Pawley, who was playing in his first Tuesday mixed competition, were the winning pair with 25 points.

In second place were the pairing of Cherry Liell with Ken Wood with 23 points.

The last prize was taken by Sheila Palmer alongside club chairman Peter Clarke.

Elizabeth and Ken Wood are this month’s organisers.
