Honiton monthly medal success for trio

Honiton seniors section played their monthly medal, writes Liz Rogers.

Mike Ward was in great form and he took top honours in Division One with an excellent net 68, edging out Peter Clarke on countback.

Mike Stroud, Dave Maggs and Mike Watts took the other prizes in that division.

Robert Canterbury came top of Division Two with a net 71with John Pawley the runner-up. The remaining prizes went to Howard Clayton, Steve Blundell and Alan Rowley.

Meawhile, the seniors also recently play a Bowmaker competition that saw Malcolm Matthews, Buzz Harris and John Chew win with an

excellent 80 points.

Mike Kent, Ron Armitage and John Pawley scored 78, beating Pete Morgan, John Ward and David Lee on countback.

The last prize went to Andy Sharland, Bill Phillips and Robert Canterbury.
