The Honiton monthly stableford was initially billed as a medal event, writes Andy Wagner.

However, captain Dave Morgan took pity on us and changed the game to a less demanding stableford.

It was probably a wise decision on his part as he went on to play a less than salubrious round.

I wouldn’t dream of printing his final score, eh Dave! Others enjoyed the game hugely with Division One ending in a three-way tie between Ian Ateyo, Alan Devenny and Richard Reece all finishing with 39 points. Division Two was equally impressive with Richard Townsend keeping up his impressive form with 42 points ahead of Norman Black (41) and John Fleetwood (38).
