It seems the two divisions in the Honiton monthly stableford were playing different courses this month with Division Two finding all the short cuts, writes Andy Wagner.
Hayden Banfield has long been noticed as a talented player through his Winter league exploits with his Dad Ian, but the pair played exceptionally well on Sunday.
Hayden took the field with an incredible 50 points whilst Dad, Ian, was left trailing in second with what should have been a match winning total of 41 points!
Steven Key’s very creditable 40 could only manage him third spot. Division One was no less sparkling though, with junior Haydon McCance taking pole position with 38 points.
Ben Phillips was second with 35, edging out Alan Devenny on countback.
