The final Sunday of August saw several Honiton Running Club (HRC) members travel to Lustleigh to take part in the Lustleigh 10k, which is part of the village show, writes Judy Davey.

This is a challenging multi-terrain run taking runners up hilly lanes, down muddy tracks, through beautiful woodland and along the River Bovey before going back into Lustleigh.

Alasdair Moffett was first back for HRC coming 31st in a time of 47:11.

Mark Dallyn was next back coming 57th in 51:03. This race is a firm favourite of Howard Bidmead and he came 84th in 54:22. Claire Rouse was first back for the Honiton ladies coming 162nd in 1:07:32 with Asilah Jarrald and Clare Melbourne coming in together in 185th place in 1:16:07.

The race was won by Adam Holland in 36:24 and there were 197 finishers.
