Saturday was the Honiton Juniors Open, writes Andy Wagner.
Over 50 Juniors played and Honiton’s Hannah Tierney had the best girls score with a net 76 whilst three of the Honiton junior boys were in the top five places in both divisions.
Haydn McCance was third in Division Town with a net 65 followed closely by Max Nield in fourth with a net 66.
Honiton juniors had success in the Junior Opens Order of Merit which combines the results from Junior Opens at Crediton, Exeter, Tiverton, East Devon and Honiton during the season.
From 78 competing Haydon McCance won the Order of Merit with Hannah Tierney placed second. Well done, to our club professional Adrian Cave who not only coaches the juniors, but arranges the teams for matches and all the junior knock-out competitions.
