Competing in the Devon past lady captain’s competition at Okehampton, Elizabeth Ward won the Silver Division, and has added her name to the Silver Cup, writes John Pawley.
Continuing the good theme, on Saturday, Sue Ritchie and lady captain Janet Hughes were away to Dainton Park in the Daily Mail foursomes competition, and won, two-up and have moved comfortably into the fifth round of the competition
They have not been this far before in this competition were rightly rather pleased, and turned up at the Ladies Night later that evening, rather tired, but elated.
Previously an annual event on the seniors calendar, it is hoped this can be revived, and with the evening considered a success, it will be held next year. Good food, good company - what more can one ask for?
