As we enter 2021 with hope for a brighter sporting future, members of the Honiton Sea Angling Club ended 2020 by sharing some fabulous pictures and stories from a successful Christmas on the water.
A blustery day out on the Lyme did not deter anglers on the three-day Conger Competition, run in conjunction with the Tackle Box and the pegasus charter boat run by Lewis Hodder.
In all, the seven members fishing landed 119 eels with the best one falling to Mike Spiller with a fish of 58lb.
Mike also had the second-best eel of 53lb and also managed the most eels with a personal tally of 28. Alan Deacon also had another specimen fish of 50lb.
On returning to the Cobb at 4.30pm Mike was awarded his prize along with a goodie bag of 'Hook Ups'
All the congers were caught on these excellent Tackle Box Hook Ups lures.
