The Honiton seniors’ section’s Bowmaker was supposed to be a bit of fun, but trust the captain to take it seriously, writes Liz Rogers.
Mike Watts and his team of Dave Morgan and John Pawley showed up every other team in the 63-player field, scoring 85 points, and bagging two twos on their way round.
Stan Squire, Tom Tunnicliffe and Alan Morris came second with a creditable 79 points.
The other prize-winning teams were Peter Shepherd, Max Pipe with Mike Delaney and Messrs Ron Graham, John Chew and John Vessey.
