The Honiton seniors section saw 64 members line up for the monthly stableford competition, with only five playing to par or better, writes Liz Rogers.

Top of the class was Bob Cockett, winning Division Two with 39 points, beating John Chew by two points.

Jack Phillips took third place and David Lavender and Tony Proudfoot took the last two prizes in that division.

Leading Division One was Pete Morgan with 38 points, just beating Mike Kent. Eric Short was close behind and next up was Stan Squire, beating Paul Ritchie on count back.
