The Honiton senior section contested the Veterans Cup medal, writes Liz Rogers.

In what were near perfect conditions, 64 seniors took part, but a number struggles and were disappointed with their scores!

However, Ron Graham had no such problems as he returned the best score in Division One, a net 68. The runner-up was Alan Devenny on 70 with three players, Tony Williams, Jim Wallis and Bill Spice, all on 71 and separated only on countback!

The winner of Division Two, and the trophy, was John Pawley with a net 66, followed by Phil Faulkner and Bob Cockett.

There was just a lone two recorded and that was by David Morgan who took away 41 golf balls as a result of his effort!
