The rain prevented Honiton seniors from playing in their normal competitions, writes Liz Rogers.
However, on a different note, congratulations to the seniors captain, Mike Watts, who was recently recognised for his years of lifesaving, after donating blood 100 times.
He received a commemorative medal from the NHS Blood and Transplant service at a ceremony earlier this month.
Mike has donated blood ever since a blood van visited his work in 1977. He stresses the need for more donations as the blood has a limited life.
