Weather plays an important part in the golfer’s life and this week was no exception, writes John Pawley.
The past week started with warm sunny conditions for the seniors match against Taunton and Pickeridge.
This was the return leg of the June match where Honiton lost the away leg by a hefty margin.
This time Mike Sennitt’s team were able to avenge this somewhat with a four-and-a-half to one-and-a-half win.
On Thursday, Axe Cliff were the team hoping to avenge a defeat they had suffered earlier this year.
In perfect conditions, with the course looking and playing extremely well after some recent rain, the Honiton seniors were able to keep them at bay with a 3-3 draw.
