Sixty Honiton Seniors’ played the monthly medal this week and golf never ceases to amaze how different people can score so vastly different scores on the same course on the same day, writes Ann Desmoulins.

There were some very good scores and others that were not so good shall we say.

In Division One, the overall winner of the monthly tankard was Alan Devenny with a nett 66, closely followed by Derek Keen with a nett 67 who just won on countback from Ian Guy, also with a nett 67.

Fourth place went to Phil Deacon with a nett 70.

Division two was won by Fred Thomas with a nett 66 just winning on countback from Steve Blundell also with a nett 66.

Third place went to Eric Short with a nett 70 and fourth place was claimed by Mike Delaney with a nett 71.

On the day there was only one two, scored on the 12th hole by Stan Squire, his prize, 30 golf balls. Well done, Stan.
