Sixty Honiton seniors had excellent weather conditions for their monthly medal competition on Friday, so there was no excuse for poor scoring, writes Liz Rogers.

The winner of the glass tankard was Roger Matthews who headed Division One with a net 68.

Mike Stroud was runner-up on 73, on countback from Ted Chandler and Mike Watts. Tony Williams took the last prize in that division.

Bill Phillips won Division Two with a net 73. Robert Canterbury was runner-up on 74, placed ahead of Bob Cockett and Peter Dart on countback. John Northover took the last prize position.
