Honiton seniors Winter Eclectic success for Steve Butcher

A splendid turnout of 52 Honiton seniors braved another cold day on Friday for the third round of the Winter Eclectic competition, writes Liz Rogers.

Steve Butcher consolidated his leading position by winning Division One with a score of 37 points.

Bill Eaton was second on 35 with Paul Ritchie taking third spot with his score being 33 points. And David Woodruff took fourth place on 32.

In Division Two, Phil Wall topped the list with 38 points, followed by George Smith, John Fleetwood and Ian Orford, all on 35, but separated by countback.

There were three twos recorded, scored by Ray Cavill on the second, Keith Major on the seventh and Steve Butcher on the 12th.
