The semi-finals of the Honiton Sun Am were played last week, writes Andy Wagner.
They saw dark horses Phil Wall and Andy Sharland keep plodding on.
Having beaten my own named favourites Rob Willey and James Drew on the 19th hole in the quarter finals they met Richard Beard and Steve Charlton in the last four.
It turned out to be a much easier win this week and now Wall and Sharland will meet club captain Ron Graham and past captain Dave Morgan in the final after they overcame Tim Welch and Jono Barker in their last four tie.
Surely the dark horses wouldn’t dare to beat such illustrious contenders?
