During the month of January, four members of Honiton Swimming Club competed in the Devon County Trials, held at the Plymouth Life Centre, writes Janet Bargmann.

The swimmers all achieved some incredible times against the tough competition of clubs from across Devon.

The times for the four swimmers were: Carys Lilley; 50m backstroke 37.23; 50m breaststroke 39:19, 50m front crawl 33:08, 100m breaststroke 1:27:43; 100m individual medley 1:19:24. Tiegan Chipping: 50m backstroke 38:79; 50m breaststroke 44:92, 50m front crawl 32:81. Erim Marshallsay: 50m backstroke 43:63; 50m breaststroke 44:09. Dan Clarke: 50m breastroke 39:46, 50m front crawl 29:45.

Honiton is a small, friendly and ever-growing club. We always welcome new swimmers who are able to swim at least three of the strokes. If you are interested then visit the club website, honitonswim.wordpress.com to contact us.
