Honiton third team endured a ‘difficult day at the office’ as they slipped to a 1-0 Fresha League Division Nine defeat at home to Lapford Reserves.
A strong visiting side home side restricted Honiton to occasional sights of goal in the first half whilst, at the other end of the pitch, they netted what proved to be the only goal of the contest.
Town tweaked their formation at the break and improved in the second half.
The width of the post denied them a last minute equaliser.
On Saturday Town thirds meet the same opposition, this time at Lapford.
