Honiton Tigers RFC (Under-8s) returned to training last Sunday in unusual fashion - with a team building day at Escot.

The team swapped rugby balls and tag belts for den building, fire making and the famous swamp walk in a day aimed at bringing together the team ahead of their final season in tag rugby.

Coach Jon Hannay said: “I wanted to emphasise team work, trust and respect for one another and the activities Escot had planned for us were perfect for this. The players and siblings enjoyed it immensely and hopefully it stands us in good stead for the season to come.”Meanwhile Honiton RFC are looking for a coach for their Under-7s. The situation has arisen over the increasing number of youngsters looking to play and there are a number of Under-7s keen to play, but are not quite ready for the Under-8 age group. Therefore if there is someone is interested in this role, or would like to discuss it further they can contact chairman Simon Lancaster on 07817 801159.”
