Honiton Town and Axminster Town both enjoyed splendid 2-1 away wins in their respective South West Peninsula League Eastern Divisions.

Goals from leading scorer Tony Pinder and joint-manager Johnny Hurford saw the Tigers top a 2-1 win at Ilfracombe Town while Honiton Town came back from a goal down at Alphington to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Lewis Couch and Joe Dixon. Town played the final third of the match with 10 men after Conor Flanagan after he picked up a first half yellow card and a second just before the hour mark.

In rugby Honiton march on after a huge 92-0 win at Withycombe. The clean sheet success means that the Hippos have now played four and won four at the start of the Tribute Cornwall and Devon League season.

Back to football and in Macron Devon and Exeter League football there were Premier Division wins for table-toppers Colyton, who beat Seaton Town 5-2, and Upottery, 2-0 winners over Okehampton. Feniton lost their top flight game at home to Newtown, beaten 3-1 whole Beer Albion shared four goals with hosts Clyst Valley.

In Division Two Axminster Town Reserves lost 5-0 at home to Dawlish Town and, in Division Three, Ottery St Mary were 5-1 winners at Axmouth United while Otterton won 3-0 in their home meeting with Teburn St Mary.
