Honiton Town face a busy April with six matches in the space of 23 days as they bring their first-ever foray into South West Peninsula League season to an end.

Next up for the Hippos is a game this Saturday (March 17) when they travel to North Devon to meet Ilfracombe, before they host title-chasing St Martins the following Saturday, and they end their March schedule with a Good Friday home meeting with Ilfracombe with that game being part of the 2018 Groundhop that will see Mountbatten Park boosted by the presence of over 100 Groundhoppers in addition to the usual support.

A busy April begins with a Saturday (April 7) trip to Newton Abbot Spurs, after which they have a midweek home game against Alphington before a Sunday, April 15, Mountbatten Park meeting with Torridgeside.

There is then another midweek fixture with a Wednesday, April 18, home game against University and three days later they host Axminster Town in an East Devon derby. They end April with two home games in quick succession with a Saturday visit from Bovey Tracey followed by a Monday meeting with Newton Abbot Spurs.

The Hippos’ season ends on Monday, May 7, with a visit to Appledore.
