Honiton Town suffered yet another postponement, a sixth successive washout and their lack of action is now an amazing eight weeks!

That’s hardly ideal preparation for their last eight game in the Firewatch Devon Senior Cup at AFC Dartmouth Reserves on Saturday.

Dartmouth Reserves sit second in the Division One of the South Devon League. They have played significantly more recently than Town! Although they were washed out last weekend, they have played four times since the turn of the year.

They played three home games in early January, one under floodlights and they are unbeaten all season at home. However, to date they have just played six home matches in which they have scored an impressive 25 goals whilst they have conceded just five.

Town will next play in the Fresha League Division One on Saturday week (barring any cancellation of this Saturday’s Dartmouth tie), when they travel to South Zeal and that game, if played, would be the first time Town boss Kev Blackwell and his men have played an away league game for 12 weeks, such has been the weather woe Town have suffered this season.
