Honiton Town made the second math day of the 2017 Macron League year by netting a hat-trick of senior success with all three of their teams recording victories.
The top scorers on the day were the second team who won 7-4 at Culm United thanks to a Luke Phillips hat-trick, two from Olly Mepham, one from Sean Devine and an own goal.
The third team won the East Devon derby at Acland Park where they sunk Feniton thirds 5-2. Ryan Pike helped himself to yet another treble and there were single goals from Karl Allen and Nathan Selway.
Arguably though, the best result of the day was bagged by Kev Blackwell’s first team as they beat Hatherleigh 2-0 at Mountbatten Park with goals from Ben Ashford and Joe Mulhall.
Make sure you get a copy of the Midweek Herald (out next on Wednesday, January 18) for more on a terrific match day for the Hippos.
