Honiton Town Reserves were thumped 7-0 by an Axminster Town Reserves side that were crowned divisional winners at full-time.

Town Reserve boss John Lewis said: “They (Axminster) simply had too much for us. They look a good side and I don’t doubt they’ll be pushing for honours in the division above next season. We were missing key players through injury and work it was always going to be difficult task.

“The performance was not short on effort or commitment, but we lacked the cutting edge of earlier in the season. I’d like to think we can go on now and win our last two games to seal a top three finish which, alongside two cup semi-finals will represent a good season’s work.”
