Honiton Town thirds suffered a ‘tough day at the office’ as they went down 6-0 in their home meeting with a Lympstone Reserves side that are fourth in the latest Macron League Division Eight table.
With new third team boss Darryl Pike missing the game owing to having prior arrangements, the side was looked after jointly by Karl Allen and Ryan Pike.
The new man in charge said: “It was not ideal, but I’d like to thank Karl and Ryan for looking after things in my absence.”
He continued: “We will come back stronger after this and I am looking forward to hopefully putting things right in this Saturday’s home game against Dawlish.”
