Honiton Town Under-11s well beaten by Crediton Youth

Honiton Town 2, Crediton Youth 12 Honiton Town Under-11s were well beaten by the Mid Devon side.
With several players unavailable due to holidays Town were left playing with a bare nine players and no substitutes to take on a top three team.
Despite the lack of bodies Town began well. However the visitors were quickly into their stride and began to apply which was dealt with superbly by the impressive Oliver Turl in goal.
Once the first goal went in the Town heads dropped and they shipped further goals at regular intervals to finish the half 8-0 down.
During the interval a team talk encouraged the side to calm down and, to their credit, the players took in what was asked of them and produced a much improved second half performance.

I that period they scored two fine goals, both netted by Caleb Freemantle and were unlucky not to score a third when Harvey Newton saw his fierce shot rebound off the foot of the post.
