West Exe 4, Honiton Troopers 1 Copplestone 7, Honiton Troopers 0 Honiton Troopers Under-9s were beaten in a couple of tough games against strong opposition.
In the first game the clinical West Exe finishing took them into a commanding three-goal lead. After some good work by Peter Osbourne it was Bailey Williams who reduced the arrears before West Exe added a late fourth. Troopers glovesman Harvey Lee made some fine saves whilst Lewis Clyburn, Jess Spence and Chris Lucas made excellent contributions.
In their second game they conceded after just 15 seconds and did not recover from that!
The team were clearly tired from their earlier efforts and were no match for the strong Copplestone side. Despite this, the defence worked hard with Harvey Haysom impressing. Chris Lucas was named the Troopers Player of the Day by the watching parents.
