The popular treble six was played by the Tuesday Mixed at Honiton last week, writes Andy Wagner.

This format offers the chance for everyone to ‘warm up’ for six holes playing their own ball.

This followed by ‘not much pressure’ greensomes before the final six hold are played as ‘pressure, pressure!’ foursomes.

The winners this week were Sue Ritchie and John Northover with 38 points.

This is the second week in a row that John has won the competition - he said it is all down to having a good partner!

In second place with a score on 35 points, and after countback were Su Calver playing with Jason Gosling. Jason had his first hole in one on the second and was congratulated by everyone.

Edged into third by that countback were Jan Dickinson and seniors’ vice-captain Mike Watts after they too had scored 35 points.
