The morning rain, wind and mist of Tuesday, which ensured that all playing members of the Friendship Cup arrived back at the Honiton clubhouse thoroughly soaked, gave way to drier conditions for the Tuesday mixed in the afternoon, writes John Pawley.
The format this week was an American Foursomes and it was won by the pairing of Cherry Liell and Ken Wood with 37 stableford points.
They were followed in by Maureen Tollemache and Larry Goodliffe with 35 points.
Third place, with a score of 33 points, went to Sue Kelson and John Frith.
