Bridport 30, Honiton 90 Honiton Under-10s powered to a comprehensive victory in Dorset.

The young Lacemen were far more organised in attack and defence with quick ball from the scrum and the lineout allowing them to race into an early lead which they continued to build on.

Joe Evans and Tim Goody led the way with seven and six tries a piece while Edward Grimshaw, Joshua Giles, Brodie Drinkwater, Osian Owen and James Harris scored one each. Bridport fought back strongly in the second half and the game ended with the Lacelads running out convincing winners.

It was a very impressive start to the season by Honiton and all of the team played well, but it was Harrison Lawson who took the player of the match honours for his powerful running and hard work in defence.
