Honiton Under-10s began their East Devon Youth League season on Sunday with a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Avishayes.
Honiton started off well with good end to end action Joseph Charlton and Dominic McCreadie-Taylor working hard in midfield, but despite some great defending from Connor Harrison and Jacob Fisher two goals were conceded before the break. The second half saw plenty of industry from Honiton, but they were unable to find a goal themselves whilst they also concede another four.
Ben Lapping, Elliot Holdsworth and Jordan Harrison all shone and the team’s effort was rewarded in the closing stages when McCreadie-Taylor netted a late consolation.
