Honiton 7, Sidmouth Town 0 Honiton Under-15s were comfortable winners over Sidmouth in an East Devon Youth League meeting.

The opening goal owed much to the swift reactions of Harry Leisk who latched onto a back pass before squaring for Blake Freemantle to net what proved to be the only goal of the first half.

Sidmouth began the second period strongly, but Honiton dug deep and doubled their lead when a Freemantle corner was tucked away by Tom Olive.

A brace of free-kicks, first by Kieran Pike and then by Freemantle took the Honiton lead to 4-0 before Freemantle and Mason Rhode combined for the latter to make it five.

Sidmouth always carried a threat, but could not get the better of the impressive Jake Sellick in the Honiton goal. Substitute Ben Nursey made it 6-0 and the final word was left to gloves man Sellick with his teams seventh and final goal.
