Honiton Under-16s played their final match of the year and produced a fitting performance, beating Rhode Lane Wanderers 6-0 in their latest Taunton and District Youth League, Division Two, outing.

The Mountbatten Park youngsters joined the league at the start of the current season and their league form has been very good with six wins and two draws to sit top at Christmas, a point clear of Hamilton.

Blake Freemantle is the team’s leading scorer having netted an impressive 14 so far. The other goals have come from; Charlie Freeman (6), Tom Olive (4), Jake Sellick (2), Harry Leisk (2), Mason Rhode, Ben Nursey and Cody Knight.

The team take a break now before resuming their campaign with a Sunday, January 4, game at Taunton-based Hamilton.
