Honiton youngster Liam Osborne has been successful in the second phase of trials with Arsenal Soccer School.
Young Osborne will play next season in the Under-11 section of the School and Honiton team mate Ewan Evans will join him, though he will be part of the Under-12 section.
Garry Osborne has coached both boys and says: “I’ve worked with both players over the last five years both at Honiton Primary School or at Honiton Town Youth Football Club and their willingness to keep learning the game is something to behold. Honiton, as a youth football club, is a fantastic club to learn the game. The work at Mountbatten Park is not simply based around results. Far more of it is about developing the youngsters.”
Of further use to the senior club is the introduction for next season of a senior third side which will help provide a stepping stone for the junior players as they step up into the adult game.
