Honiton Swimming Club were well represented by youngsters in a friendly Gala, writes Emma Rooms and Esmee Gregorius.

Some of the younger swimmers were getting their first experience of a gala meeting.

They all tried very hard and managed to win rosettes in a number of races.

The meeting also saw a number of personal bests for Honiton swimmers, which underlines just how much all the training is paying off.

Due to ‘exam season’ there was less attendance from the teen section (14 plus), and this allowed the younger swimmers to enjoy more of then spotlight.

The club are always keen to recruit new members, whether it’s for the fun, competitiveness or simply to get fit.
