Hyde nets High Six Trophy success at Honiton

Only the brave hearted could contemplate 36 holes in current temperatures, but several ladies did just that last Wednesday in the Jubilee Cup at Honiton, and some very good scores resulted, writes Andy Wagner.

The winner of the cup this year is Ann Trayling, making a combined score of 78 stableford points, with runner-up Heather Clarke not too far behind on 75 points.

In the High 6 Trophy, played over 18 holes, this year’s winner is Susan Hyde with 40 points, and runner-up Jennifer Pyle scored 35 points.

The monthly stableford results showed Sue Ritchie in first place for the Silver Division with 39 points, followed by Olwen Eaton in second on 37 points. The Bronze 1 Division winner was Catherine Doherty with 40 points with Christine Whitley on 37 points in second place.

Bronze Two Division was won by Susan Hyde with 40 points followed by Monica Lacey in second with 36 points.

The nine-hole stableford winner was Jean Putt with 14 points.
