Johnstone shines brightest at Lyme Regis

Andrew Richardson’s 39 points won division 1 of the April Stableford at Lyme Regis, writes Richard Jackman.
Gareth Williams pipped Guy Morgan for second place, both carding 37 points.
In Division Two, Tony Johnstone and Mark Taylor both had 42 points, but the formers storming back 9 took the honours, with Owen Bosence claiming third with 41 points.
Monday saw the Seniors compete for the Marsh Tankard medal and single figure handicappers took the top three spots, an excellent 68 from Peter Cogan, 70 from Julian Cox and 71 from Keith Gibson.
Mike List headed a pack on 72 to gain fourth place
Lyme Regis Ladies Interclub team had a very good win against Parkstone at Lyme.
The team was made up of Jane Southcombe (captain for the match), Anne Humphreys, Jane Dixon, Caroline Baker, Rosie Jackman, Gilly Madill and Cyndi Mudford.
Sadly fog curtailed their 4-ball better ball competition.
The Mail on Sunday team travelled to Teignmouth, performed well, but lost their fourth round tie
In the Junior Stableford, Brad Burraston’s 39 points just beat Bradley Searle’s 38 points with George Seed taking third with 35pts.
