The Axe Cliff ladies section played the second of their Winter League matches, over 15 holes, stableford format, writes Pete Motson.
Helen Kenworthy took first place with an excellent score of 30. Second place went to a countback between Stella Thompson, who edged Sandra Walker into third after both scored 26 points.
Later, the ladies held their Presentation Evening followed by a Christmas meal. The evening was enjoyed by all with lots of laughter amidst the serious business of prize giving.
Helen Kenworthy won the Ladies Golfer of the Year and Anne Jarvis the Most Improved Handicap. Everyone enjoyed a very nice meal to end an excellent day.
