Twenty teams of three contested the Honiton seniors’ Longhurst Cup, held in Stableford format, writes Liz Rogers.

The first players in made the best score!

They were seniors captain Mike Watts, Ron Rogers and club chairman Peter Clarke.

No one else could touch their 46 points.

The runners-up were Ian Orford, Ted Chandler and Tom Tunnicliffe.

Dave Maggs, Alan Morris and Robin Mitchell were third and Roger Matthews, Phil Faulkner and Alan Rowley took the last prizes.

Tony Williams and Fred Thomas scored the only twos of the day and shared 42 balls.
